Gabriel Michael Johnson aged 19 years old was a waiter by trade when he decided to do his bit for his country during the 2nd World War. His address was Stand 6, Indian Bazaar, Boxburg. He attested into ‘C’ Company of the Indian Service Corps on the 26 July 1940 and was posted to the 3rd Indian MT Company QSC.

Johnson served in North Africa and returned to the Union in 1943 and was discharged on the 18th September 1944.

Medals come with original ribbons, but are fitted to the wrong medals as can be seen.
